The test cars were randomly selected from production cars and ran into each other to reflect a real traffic accident.

The performance of test dummy injuries, which is most closely related to consumers, in both cars, passed the test scoring 98,8%.

“In terms of body structure, the passenger compartment of the Exeed VX remained in good condition, the body structure was still kept intact, the threshold and A pillar showed no obvious deformation, the doors were not detached from the body during the impact, and the door lock and hinges at the impact position have not failed. As for functional performance, doors not impacted can be opened smoothly (still capable of automatic unlocking), the door on the impact side was closed, the front driver and passenger airbags, side and curtain airbags on the impact side were all launched normally, and the seats and safety belts have not failed after the impact.

“Exeed VX, designed based on the M3X architecture, adopts the integrated cage-type body structure, with the application rate of high-strength steel as high as 78%, and the tensile strength of thermoformed steel plates used in the B pillar being higher than 1 500Mpa. The whole car has been accurately tuned and calibrated by a professional team, and more than 1 000 simulations and over 100 vehicle impact tests have been carried out. On the basis of excellent passive safety performance, Exeed VX is equipped with the highest L2.5 active safety system in mass production,” said Chery.
