COD: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Roadmap Includes Sentry Gun Killstreak

Call of Duty Warzone’s midseason update, Season 4 Reloaded, adds an abundance of new features such as a new Killstreak for players to earn.

An updated roadmap for Call of Duty: Warzone‘s mid-season update, Season 4 Reloaded, includes a new killstreak and Operator. The battle royale installment in the iconic first-person shooter franchise, which allows up to 200 players to partake in fast-paced firefights, launched back in March 2020. Since then the game has been continuously supported, with many updates tying into other new Call of Duty releases such as 2020’s Black Ops Cold War.

The June 17 release of Warzone Season 4 brought changes and new weapons to both the battle royale title and its sister game Black Ops Cold War, with both titles receiving an abundance of new content. Black Ops Cold War received a number of maps from older titles in the series, such as Hijacked and Rush, along with an intimidating new Operator named Jackal. Meanwhile, the battle royale shooter Warzone received its own set of Season 4 features. The game’s Gulag was changed to be a portion of the map Hijacked, and a fast dirt bike vehicle was added to help players quickly traverse the game’s Verdansk map. A more unusual addition came in the form of several red doors scattered around Warzone which randomly transport players when opened. A midseason update for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has also been anticipated, with new content coming before the start of the fifth season.

An announcement on the Call of Duty blog reveals several of the new additions coming with the Season 4 Reloaded midseason update. Several of these new features have already been detailed, such as Warzone‘s new objective-based game mode Payload. However, the midseason update has also brought some previously unseen new features. A brand-new killstreak, the Sentry Gun, allows players to lay down an automatic turret which guns down any enemy it sees. Warzone’s mysterious red doors have also reportedly been updated in some fashion, which players will be able to investigate when the Reloaded update arrives on July 15.

Many players found the new content added to Warzone in the Season 4 update disappointing, mostly due to the small number of new features added to the game. This mentality was mostly due to the fact that Warzone‘s previous updates have introduced major changes to the game’s status quo. Season 2 ended by hitting the game’s map of Verdansk with a nuclear bomb, leading to a brand-new 1980s setting that lasted throughout Season 3. Updates to Season 3 then added iconic landmarks from 80s action movies, such as Die Hard‘s Nakatomi Plaza. Season 4’s midseason update will hopefully deliver enough content to satiate Warzone‘s disappointed players.

Call of Duty Warzone‘s midseason update looks to be adding a ton of content to the ongoing game. New killstreaks, game modes, and Operators help to keep the title alive and fresh, with players always returning to experience new content. While Warzone‘s players may have been disappointed by Season 4, it appears that Reloaded may be able to deliver an abundance of new content.
