Vande Bharat Express will soon connect the pilgrim town Puri in Odisha. This information was share by Union Railways Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday (Aug 19).
The Union Minister who was in Puri to seek blessings at Srimandir, informed about the Prime Minister’s vision and his plans to increase the railway connectivity in the state. Vaishnaw informed that since Puri is an important tourist spot, it would play a pivotal role in the Vande Bharat Express project in the country.
On Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi had announced the introduction of 75 Vande Bharat Express trains in 75 weeks of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence to connect each corner of the country.
The Vande Bharat train is a semi high speed train that wound offer special amenities such as onboard infotainment, GPS based passenger information system, automatic sliding doors, zero discharge vacuum-based bio-toilets among others.
