Tata Safari is currently one of the popular seven seater SUV in the segment. It was launched in the market earlier this year and it currently competes with SUVs like Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and upcoming Mahindra XUV700. Tata Safari is now a commonly spotted SUV on our roads and people have also started modifying it. We have seen videos of Tata Safari online and here we have a video where the interiors of a XT Plus variant of the all-new Safari SUV has been modified to look like a top-end XZ variant.

The video has been uploaded by Car Stylein on their YouTube channel. Video start with the vlogger explaining about the variant of Tata Safari that is modified at their workshop. This is an XT variant which is positioned below XZ trim. XT variant is actually positioned in between and it offers decent amount of features in it.

On the outside, the SUV gets chrome finished front grille with tri-arrow designs, projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLs and so on. It also comes with dual tone alloy wheels. On the outside, the SUV remains stock. It is only the interiors that have been customised.

Vlogger then moves inside the car and shows what all has been done to it. The fabric padding on the doors have been replaced for ice grey coloured leatherette upholstery. The steering wheel has been wrapped in leather with perforations in it. The dashboard remains the same with plastic and gloss black finish on the top and white shade for the lower portions.

Vlogger mentions that they even covered the inner door grab handles with black leatherette material which is similar to what we have seen in top-end version of Safari. The seats are wrapped in ice grey coloured artificial Nappa leather covers and they fit extremely well on the seat. The seat is designed in a way that it looks like the original seat cover that came from factory.

Similar type of white colour upholstery has been installed on the central armrest as well. Overall, the fit and finish on these seat covers look extremely good. Vlogger mentions that they have variety of other colour options available and the customer can also choose between artificial and original leather upholstery as well.

Tata Safari is actually a three row SUV which is available with both 6 and 7-seater configuration options. The tope-end version of Safari offers features like large panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver seat, touchscreen infotainment screen, automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, alloy wheels and so on.

As we already know, Safari is actually based on Harrier which is another popular 5-seater SUV in the country. Tata Safari is available with a diesel engine only. It is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. This is the same engine that is being used in Harrier, Compass and MG Hector as well. In Safari this engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission options.
