Hyundai has revealed the interiors of its new MPV, Custo. Hyundai already has a ton of products across the width of its portfolio and this will be yet another important addition. While the news of Hyundai Staria (Kia Carnival-based MPV) is also in the air, the Custo is sort of a minivan, initially designed only for the Chinese market. With 7-seater SUVs and MPVs slowly gaining traction in the Indian market as well, it will be worth considering introducing the Custo in our market as well. However, that is for Hyundai to decide. For now, let us take walk through the interior cabin of the Custo and see what Hyundai has equipped the MPV with.

Hyundai Custo MPV – Interiors

Since the images specifically depict the cabin space of the Custo, let us begin from there itself. The overall layout of the cabin is quite modern and striking. The first thing one notices as soon as one looks at the images is the huge Centre Console with a large 10.4-inch Digital Touchscreen Display position in vertical stance with touch controls, a large console between the front seats with an electronic parking brake and a ton of buttons for other controls, 4-spoke Sporty Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel, Large Digital Instrument Cluster, Neatly Designed Dashboard Design With Multi-material inserts, Dual-tone Upholstery Colour Scheme, Plenty of storage space, Captai Seats for the second-row with a 7-seat layout and much more. Being a Hyundai, it is loaded with features up to the brim.

Exteriors

The front end represents the typical modern Hyundai design language that we have seen on the Tucson as well. The grille has a continuous pattern with integrated LED headlmaps, LED DRLs and fog lamps, Upright Bonnet and stylish bumpers. The side profile reflects the MPV design perfectly with chrome embellishments and sliding doors. The rear sports a modern and sporty theme with roof-mounted spoiler, connected LED taillamps with HYUNDAI engraved across the boot lid. All in all, it is a modern-looking MPV with striking looks.

Expected Specs

While there is nothing specified yet, we expect that the Custo could borrow powertrains from the Tucson. This means that there might be a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit making 165 hp and 253 Nm or a 2.0-litre turbo petrol belting out 230 hp and 353 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The transmission options might include an 8-speed automatic or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The official launch for the Chinese market will take place in the coming weeks.
